The US High Impact Events – Wednesday 13th October 2021

Market trends have mostly paused on indecisive trading as today’s release of US inflation (CPI) data approaches. Rising inflation has become a major concern and today’s release may have a significant impact upon the price movement of stock markets and the US dollar.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six rivals, was down 0.2 percent, easing off from an over one-year high hit on Tuesday.

The Fed will release the minutes of the FOMC policy meeting held on 22 September. The question is how much support had been built at that point for an autumn tapering announcement as well as whether inflation is still mostly seen as transitory.

All this and more from today’s high-impact releases. The times below are GMT+3.

  • 20.01 – US – 30-Year Bond Auction
